Why Don't Maternity Pants Have Pockets?

The vast majority of my maternity pants don't have pockets. Why? There seems to be plenty of room to put pockets, even in the pants that have the big belly panels in them. Is it to keep pregnant women from putting their keys in their pockets? I miss pockets. Almost daily I find myself trying to stick a barrette or rubberband into my absent pocket. I think it is a conspiracy to render us completely useless. Not only do I forget everything now, but have no way of stowing a reminder in my clothing! I say that we citizens send letters to our senators in order to restore pockets to maternity pants! We pregnant women must stand up for our right to pockets!
